Zenith, the world famous watchmaker and accessory conglomerate from Switzerland, has officially announced the imminent launch of the Defy Lab watch. It is a potential shift from the usual watches we see around as with it, Zenith also has the pleasure of introducing their new oscillating technology to the public as well. Known from far and wide as the most accurate timepiece on Earth right now, the new system brings a fresh and welcome perspective to the entire concept of mechanical movement in watches and in order to make this beauty happen, Zenith announced that they had to spend quite a lot of time with developing a brand new oscillator that comprises just a single piece of special silicon. The new system eventually seems to be paying off well, especially as it serves as a break from the norm of using the conventional and widely used balance-and-spring assembly. This new oscillator is incredible portable and has a sleek design. It measures a thickness of just 0.5mm and this gives the Defy Lab the ability to beat at a frequency of 15 Hz with an amplitude of +/- 6 degrees. As a result of this, users can be sure to expect nothing short of exceptional and pin-point accuracy from the Defy Lab, with a power reserve that lasts up to 60 hours and a daily rate of precisely 0.3 seconds.

It is also worth noting that this oscillator also contains a 44mm wide case that was built totally of a material known as Aeronith (a composite of Aluminum that has been measured to weigh much less than titanium and carbon fiber).
Production of the Defy Lab watch is set to begin in the early months of 2018, so it’s not yet possible for us to provide you with a confirmed estimate of just how much the Defy Lab is going to cost you in the event that you ever get interested in buying one (although given its amazing and highly impressive specs, you should be sure that you’ll end up shelling out a pretty penny once it is officially rolled out by the company).
