Founded in 2005, Fossombrone based KARMAN succeeds after a few years in the aim of creating a strong brand identity for an unconventional decorative, design lighting which is proudly made in Italy. The designers’ inspiration and a good communication of the brand, which sometimes appears provocatively ironical contributes in making the brand itself striking and unique. Yes, KARMAN loves to deal with materials of different kinds and with collections of products whose lines are smooth, graceful and inspired which help providing to every single lamp a kind of special lighting: a lighting bearing a soul.
Just like the Moon shaped ULULÌ – ULULÀ table, floor and ceiling lamp, suitable for the house or the garden equally. Creating an atmosphere of the closest there is to magic, industrial designer Matteo Ugolini managed in the end to create a jewel of a light.
ironically, he doesn’t describe himself as designer, he doesn’t even like all society life that design movement can create. He just designs what he likes more, his aim is to excite and create emotion, his roots are hold to the remembering of the past and nature that is deeply connected to. Very often we can find nature in his creations: it comes closer to human life just like it has always happened in the past. That process helps human race to come closer to that important element we are all gradually departing from: nature.
