Haroshi is a storied Japanese artist whose fame and popularity seem to be growing day by day. His ingenuity and artistic skill have been noticed by all and sundry and he’s doing pretty well to bolster his name.
Recently, Haroshi launched his first ever zine. The zine, published by Switzerland publisher Innen Books, is titled Still Pushing Despite the Odds. It is a tome which is filled with 20 pages of raw content that all serve to attest to Haroshi’s creativity and immense artistic acumen.
Still Pushing Despite the Odds brings a spotlight to a wide array of artworks and sculptural masterpieces, all of which were created by the Picasso of recycled skateboard decks. There is also an additional batch of projects done as collaborations between Haroshi and a wide array of creatives as well. These collaborative joints have been given enough recognition in the boo and they also have their fair share of accentuation. Collaborative works showcased in the book range from projects such as the HUF x Haroshi Vinyl Middle Fingers (a collection of beautifully colored sculptures shaped in the image of the middle finger) as well as commissioned pieces by Mike Parker, Chief Executive Officer of Nike.

The zine will also be made available for purchase at the 12th annual New York Art Book Fair; an event hosted by Printed Matter at MoMA PS1 in Queens, New York City.
