Hand crafted in Zurich by master watchmaker Daniel Dreifuss, the Chronograph Modern from Maurice De Mauriac Zurich is probably the world’s coolest -and therefore best- military watch.
These watches are handmade in Zurich by master watchmaker Daniel Dreifuss (whose shop is definitely one of the top boutiques in the world), and while they are extremely exclusive (only a couple of hundred are handcrafted each year, which explains why they are sought after by collectors), they are considerably less expensive than -say- a Rolex.
As for the Chronograph Modern in the 42 mm x 14 mm satin brushed finish titanium case…. Functions include hours, minutes, small seconds date and chronograph (12-hour subdial, 30-minute subdial and 60-second central seconds). Locking crown and pushers. The flat sapphire glass has had a double anti-reflective treatment. There’s a titanium-sapphire crystal case back. And the watch is water-resistant (up to 100 meters). We loved the Nato strap (solid, striped, Hermes leather), but it’s also available on leather or textile strap.
Yes, it’s crystal clear that Daniel Dreifuss, owner of Maurice De Mauriac Zurich (and by the way, for a small watch brand, Maurice de Mauriac has one very big presence in its 16 years of existence) is as manic as he is passionate about precious timepieces and sleek design. So, all in all, yes, this is a watch for the somewhat advanced watch lover who is keen on trusting his instincts and does not need others in order to feel complete.
