With its latest limited edition collection, released today, Moleskine celebrates the huge international success of HBO series Game of Thrones, just days ahead of the US premiere of its sixth season on April 24th.
The Game of Thrones Collection includes four limited edition hardcover notebooks with themed cover designs featuring silkscreen prints by emerging graphic designer Levente Szabò, with a fifth design offered exclusively as part of a collector’s edition box set depicting the Iron Throne. Available in Pocket and Large sizes, with both plain and ruled paper, each notebook comes with exclusive stickers and customised paper banderoles featuring the genealogical tree of the three families – Stark, Lannister and Targaryen.
The video introducing the collection is a work of art in itself: video and animation studio Dadomani, have recreated the iconic Game of Thrones opening sequence with a Moleskine twist: King’s Landing is not only made entirely out of paper but is contained within the pages of the Moleskine notebooks; More than 7,600 individual paper cut-outs were needed to create the three-dimensional buildings that make up this paper version of the city!
